If you want to arrive earlier or stay longer than our Thursday to Saturday block, please
let Carol Young know ASAP (office@asacarolinas.com). We can accommodate you but will have to let the hotel
know separately to extend your stay.
We are in the Cherokee Tower at the south end of the complex. A map of the check-in desk and parking is available above. Do not enter at the main hotel or at the front casino check-in.
The rates noted above are per guest room, per night, single or double occupancy. Rates are subject to applicable resort fees and governmental room taxes. Each additional person will be charged at a rate of $10.00 per person, per night with a maximum of four (4) people per guest room.
A daily resort fee of $34.99 per room, per night plus the current occupancy room tax will be charged in addition to the room rates set forth above.
This fee includes:
- Free Valet and Self-parking
- Access to the Pools and Fitness Center
- Free Standard Internet (up to two (2) devices)
- Unlimited Local Calls
Tribal Levy in lieu of state tax is added at 7.5% of the total.
Our room block is guaranteed through Tuesday, 24 June, after which reservations will be accepted on an as-available basis.
Golf at Sequoyah National
A golf experience unlike any we’ve seen at an ASA convention. Three tee-times are reserved for a total of 12 golfers starting at 1:30 on Friday the 25th, with the ability to add one additional foursome if needed.
Lunch will be on your own at the golf course and players will need to coordinate their transportation. The course is located 15 minutes from the hotel.

The cost per golfer is $150 and includes green and cart fees.
Mandara Spa at Harrah’s Cherokee
Unwind and rejuvenate with a full range of luxury spa services located in the hotel complex. Mandara Spa features separate facilities for women and men including skin and body treatments, massage, and salon services in a quiet, relaxing environment.

Tubing on the Oconaluftee River
Enjoy a leisurely two-hour float down the river while taking in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains from a different perspective. Tours include bus transportation from the ticketing parking lot to the drop off and pick-up points and back.
Transportation from the hotel is not included. They are located 5-8 minutes from the hotel. Floats are available daily.
Cost for the float trip is $16.00 per person including tax. An additional float for your cooler can be rented for $10.00.
Waterfalls Near Cherokee
If you are a waterfall junkie, you are about to enter nirvana. There are six breath-taking waterfalls located within 11 miles of downtown Cherokee. In order of closest to farthest:
- Mingo Falls 7 Miles
Tom Branch Falls 8.4 miles - Indian Creek Falls 8.4 miles
- Juney Whank Falls 8.9 miles
- Cliff Branch Falls 10 miles
- Soco Falls 11 miles
Some involve a short hike from the parking area to view.

Cherokee is home to several museums that offer a look into the culture and heritage of the Cherokee Nation.
Many of the shops in Cherokee offer Native American made arts and crafts including basketry, pottery, original art, and clothing that spotlight the artistry and skill of the Cherokee artisans.
Harrah’s Cherokee Event Center
There are two concerts at the event center this week:
Friday the 25th The Black Crowes take the stage at 9:00 pm.
Sunday the 27th Whiskey Myers on their “What We Were Born To Do” 2025 tour beginning at 6:00 PM

If your reservations are for more than 4 or 5 guests, there is a special concierge who can assist you with your reservations. Please email Deiah Haddock at dvambe@harrahs.com and let her know that you are with ASA of SC and that you want to make dinner reservations for a larger group.
There are numerous restaurants in and around Cherokee—many of them are native Cherokee owned—that offer a wide range of tasty dining options.
The Casino
The heart of Harrah’s has 150,000 square feet of gaming space with something for everyone including roulette, craps, blackjack, a variety of poker games, and over 3,000 slot machines along with a 90 foot sportsbook screen.
Each convention attendee and guest over the age of 21 will receive $50 of gaming credit at registration. This can be redeemed in the Casino for use on any of the games.
Convention attendees are encouraged to have fun but also to gamble responsibly. College funds and retirement accounts should be left at home.
